Oliver Kamdon came here a refugee from Africa, hoping for the American dream,
but now he’s in the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a car.
Now, complete strangers are supporting him and his family during this difficult time.
Kamdon had big plans for his and his family’s future.
He, his wife and their eight children fled from their home in Africa to escape violence.
But things quickly changed after Kamdon was hit by a car while crossing the street to buy a calling card to call his family in Africa.
The driver, 19-year old Samantha Ramos-Montanez, drove away from the scene, but was later arrested.
Volunteers with the Lutheran Family Services created a Meal Train account for the family.
The website helps to organize meal delivery.
Within an hour, complete strangers had signed up to drop off food for the next six weeks.
If you would like to help the Kamdon family here is a link to their Meal Train account-
