Telling a woman that she is “glowing” while pregnant was said to be “sexist” a number of years ago. While it can be imagined that being told that one is aglow as they suffer a frightful case of morning sickness may be a bit trying, it is hardly sexist.
Today, the Telegraph is reporting that “experts” at the University of Kent and the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) are proclaiming that it is “sexist” to tell a pregnant female not to drink alchohol. They called doing so something that merely promotes “needless anxiety.”
Certain “pregnancy charities” (who are more concerned with downing a shot of Jack than the scientific facts about what makes for healthy offspring) have called for the “alarmist” claims of the Governmental guidelines saying that NO drinking is to occur be relaxed.
